There is nothing better than the sweetness of fresh pineapple in summer. Whether you're using it as a marinade, a summer cocktail decoration, or as a highlight of a salad or main course, the color of the Sun and the fresh taste are exactly what drives out the winter blues. Pineapple does not continue to mature after picking, but the same enzymes make them tender so effectively and cause them to deteriorate quickly. You can put a pineapple for a day or two on the counter, but in order to keep it freshest, it's better to slice and store it as soon as possible. Use a very sharp knife so that the blade is unlikely to slip off the tough skin of the pineapple. Cut off the top and bottom, place the fruit upright, work the knife down the side and peel off the external skin. If you don't remove all the small brown eyes for the first time, then take them off with a small peeling knife later. Look down at the top of the pineapple and you should be able to see the core of the center. If you are going to cut the pineapple cube, cut the pulp off the core of the fruit with four long vertical cuts, leaving a square core of the fruit, you can discard it. If you like pineapple in the ring, remove the core using the Core taking tool. These are available in the agricultural area of most supermarkets. If you can't find it, cut the pineapple into a circle, each with a separate core. The peeling knife is very effective in this regard, and the wide end of the metal frost tip is also very effective.
To make a pineapple or pineapple boat, drop the pineapple down and cut it in half vertically. For smaller ships, cut each half horizontally. Take out the core from each piece. Refrigerate, freeze or dry pineapple slices on the same day. The fresh pineapple is cut and kept in the fridge for two to four days. It can turn brown even in a closed container, so put these pieces into orange juice to help them stay bright. Because pineapple contains a high concentration of citric acid, pineapple does not need to be bleached in order to freeze. Put your block or ring in a plastic zipper close bags. Squeeze out all the air and seal the bag. Put them in the fridge and use them as needed. The dried pineapple is chewy, sweet and delicious. it can be chopped with trail mix, granola, and salad, or it can be used as a snack alone. Once your pineapple is peeled, peeled and sliced, you can follow the instructions on the food dehydrator. Try this if you don't have an oven: Preheat the oven to 175 F.Line up on the baking tray with parchment paper or silicone baking pan, place the pineapple slices on the top layer, but not crowded. If there is room for hot air circulation, the pineapple circle will dry better. Put them in the oven to dry for 8 hours, turn around every hour and rotate the baking pan every time so the pineapple dries evenly. After the ring cools, store them in a sealed zipperClose the bag or jar.
