Pulley, maybe drum-type or roller-
Type, is the most common simple machine used in most conveyor systems to drive belts.
Due to its extensive use, the manufacturer has improved for better system performance and longer life.
One of them is the crown conveyor belt.
The pulley is tubular.
Drum used to drive the shape of the conveyor system belt.
The drive wheel is connected to the motor, so the motor transmits the torque required to drive the conveyor belt.
Therefore, the conveyor belt moves along the path.
However, due to its mechanism, the common problem with most conveyor belts is that the conveyor belt tends to move sideways or away from its assumed track.
When this happens, it is exposed to excessive wear when the belt is rubbing the conveyor belt frame, and in fact it gets worse faster.
In addition, friction causes friction, which in turn leads to increased load and power consumption of the drive motor.
This is where the crown wheel is.
They are installed to make sure the belt is on the track, not drift sideways.
Whether it's a cone or a ladder, the Coronation pulley is made up of a drive wheel with a center diameter slightly larger than the end diameter.
The difference in diameter causes the belt to constantly return to the track to correct itself while drifting.
However, its disadvantage is the cost.
The material itself and the processing process cause it to be a bit expensive.
At present, the Crown wall pipe uses heavy metals.
A large number of unusable parts of the material are wasted during processing.
When the belt conveyor moves, the drive wheel slips.
This allows manufacturers to develop drive wheels with smaller diameters.
However, due to the small diameter, the surface area in contact with the conveyor belt is less.
This in turn results in limited torque transmission.
In order to solve this problem, engineers believe that forming rubber or some synthetic materials to the surface of the drive wheel will increase the grip and actually increase the torque transmission.
What they call lag is the rubber cover.
In order to make the pulley work more efficiently, the lag provides the necessary traction.
Composite the rubber material and apply it to the pulley.
The manufacturer performs vulcanization lag of different hardness according to the customer's specifications, any diameter or length.
There are a variety of modes to choose from-
Common, ceramic, Crown, herringbone and groove pattern.
This may be expensive, however.
The process cost of placing the rubber to the roller and the material itself is relatively high.
There is a cheaper option than lagging, which includes packing lagging.
The result is a crown.
Like the effect on the pulley.
The disadvantage of this type of lag is the effect of stretching the conveyor belt.
It can be very useful if you know how to use and maintain Crown conveyor belt pulleys.
Proper machine handling and maintenance can create miracles in improving its life.
So if you want to use one of these in your factory or business, understand the basic mechanics and find useful innovations on it.
Although it may be expensive in the beginning, in the long run, you can save money because the machine can serve you for many years.
