Boston: eating processed meat, such as bacon, ham, sausage, sausage and beef jerky, may increase the risk of breast cancer, the researchers said.
Researchers at Harvard University's School of Public Health say research on red and processed meat consumption at risk of breast cancer has produced inconsistent results.
An analysis published in the International Journal of Cancer has now examined all published studies on the subject.
The highest and lowest categories in the 15 studies included in the analysis were compared, and processed meat consumption was associated with a nine-fold higher risk of breast cancer.
"Previous work linked the increased risk of certain types of cancer to higher intake of processed meat, recent yuan
The analysis suggests that processing meat consumption may also increase the risk of breast cancer, "said Maryam Farvid of Harvard Chen School of Public Health.
"Therefore, reducing processed meat seems to be beneficial in preventing breast cancer," Farvid said . ".
The researchers did not observe red (unprocessed)
Meat intake and risk of breast cancer
The association between red meat and breast cancer was evaluated in two studies, based on patient pairs of N-
Vinegar-based transfer enzyme 2.
The difference in activity of this enzyme is thought to alter the carcinogenic effect of meat.
The researchers did not observe any association between fast or slow N-patients
Ethyl transfer enzyme 2.
