Unlike most sugary foods, dehydrated pineapples are a good source of essential nutrients such as iron and potassium.There are two ways to dehydrate fresh pineapple--Food dehydrator or in the oven.The process takes time, but there is no need for specialized skills or too many people.on work.Enjoy dehydrated fruit in trail mix, baked goods, or as a simple, natural alternative to a artificially sweetened commercial snack.Cut off the bottom and top of each pineapple you plan to dehydrate with a sharp knife.Cut the peel from each side of the pineapple and discard it.Put the pineapple on one side and cut it into 3/8 slicesto 1/2-Inch thick, pay attention to the thickness of each piece evenly.Use a small and sharp knife to remove and discard the core from each slice.Place the prepared pineapple slices in one layer of the food dehydrator to ensure that the slices do not touch or overlap.Dehydrate for six hours at 135 degrees Fahrenheit.Remove one of the pineapple slices and tear it in half.If you see that the pineapple has accumulated moisture on the torn fruit, please replace it.Continue to dehydrate for up to six hours, tearing and checking the fruit about once an hour.After tearing the slice, removing the pineapple sheet from the dehydrator does not show the moisture of the torn part.Let the pineapple cool completely and store the slices in a closed container.Adjust the oven to a minimum temperature, preferably 140 degrees Fahrenheit.Cut off the top, bottom and peel of the pineapple.Cut the meat into slices and remove the core from each piece.Place pineapple slices on a baking tray or in an oven-Safe clothes rack so they don't touch it.Place the sheets or racks in the oven and place them so that there is at least 1 1/2 between each piece.The oven door opens a little.Let the pineapple dry for six hours and turn over the fruit slices every three or four hours.Check if the slice reaches the desired level of dryness.Remove the pineapple slices from the oven and let them cool completely.Store the dehydrated pineapple in a closed container.
